Maintenance personnel with the Bradley County Sheriff’s Office operate under the direct supervision of a maintenance supervisor and the Director of Administration. They are responsible for the general maintenance, preventative maintenance, upkeep and repair of the Bradley County Sheriff’s Office facility and the systems within.

Candidates for this job should have a good understanding of how things work. Specifically: plumbing systems, electrical systems, HVAC systems, groundskeeping, and general mechanical knowledge. Experience in this field is preferred.
There is no requirement to hold maintenance-related certifications or be masters of a specific trade.
At times, maintenance personnel at the Bradley County Sheriff’s Office will operate in or around the jail. For this reason, our maintenance personnel are required to be certified correctional officers. The training and certification for this is provided by our agency and must be accomplished within the first year of employment.
Minimum Requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age or older

Must have a high school diploma or G.E.D.

Must not have been convicted of domestic violence or a felony crime

General maintenance experience required

$41,000 starting salary ($19.71 per hour)

$42,200 with a Bachelor's Degree
