John Stone

Chief Deputy John Stone is a lifelong Bradley County resident who began his law enforcement career in 1997 with the Bradley County Sheriff’s Office as a Patrol Deputy.  During his extensive 29-year service with BCSO, Stone has held the ranks of Deputy, Detective, Detective Sergeant, Lieutenant, Patrol Captain, and was the Criminal Investigations Captain at the time of appointment to Chief Deputy in April 2022.  He also served on the SWAT Team for nearly 23 years, including 14 years as the SWAT Team Commander.  Stone has completed well over 2,000 hours of specialized training with an emphasis in leadership, tactical operations, and investigations.  He is a 2014 graduate of the FBI National Academy, 257th Session, in Quantico, Virginia.
