Criminal Investigations Division Captain David Shoemaker

Captain David Shoemaker is a seasoned law enforcement professional with 28 years of experience in public safety and criminal investigations. He graduated from the 168th Class of the Atlanta Police Academy and served with the Atlanta Police Department from 1998 to 2004 as a Patrol Officer, where he was also assigned to the Auto Theft Task Force. In 2004, Captain Shoemaker began his career with the Bradley County Sheriff’s Office as a Patrol Deputy and has since served as a Drug Unit Investigator, Property Crimes Detective, and Person Crimes Detective, advancing through the ranks to Detective Sergeant and Lieutenant prior to his promotion to Captain of the Criminal Investigations Division. Captain Shoemaker holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Management from Liberty University and is a graduate of the SELA Class of 2017 and the TLEEDS program, Class of 2023.
