Bill Dyer
Captain Bill Dyer is a distinguished law enforcement professional with 40 years of experience across numerous areas, including corrections, corporate security, and law enforcement leadership. Rising through the ranks from Corporal to Chief Deputy, he has honed his expertise in law enforcement administration. Currently serving as the Captain of the Judicial Services Division, he oversees the Court Security Division, as well as the Civil Process and Criminal Warrants Divisions. Captain Dyer holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice Administration and a Master of Business Administration degree, with a concentration in Public Administration. He is a graduate of the prestigious FBI National Academy (Class 226) and the FBI Law Enforcement Executive Development Program (Class 56) at Quantico, Virginia, as well as the University of Tennessee Southeastern Command and Leadership Academy (Class 3). Captain Dyer brings a wealth of knowledge and strategic leadership to his role within the sheriff’s office.
