The Bradley County Sheriff's Office, led by Sheriff Tim Gobble, consists of over 200 dedicated law enforcement officers and support personnel serving in Patrol, Traffic, School Resource, Corrections, Criminal Investigations, Forensics, Court Security, Vehicle Maintenance, Training, and Inmate Transport.

Situated in the foothills of the Great Smoky Mountains and next to the Ocoee River Gorge, the county seat of Cleveland, Tennessee is only minutes away from Chattanooga via I-75.

Encompassing a total land area of 332 square miles, Bradley County is one of the fastest growing counties in Tennessee with a current estimated population of over 100,000.

Historically and culturally, Bradley County holds great importance as the site of the last council grounds of the Cherokee Nation in the eastern United States. At the Red Clay Historical Area, located along the county's southern border with Georgia, visitors can enjoy a Cherokee farm and council house that have been reconstructed to offer a glimpse of how the area might have looked 150 years ago. An interpretive center houses a theater, exhibits and artifacts. Recreational facilities include a 500-seat amphitheater, picnic pavilion and a two-mile loop trail featuring a scenic limestone overlook tower. A must-see for any visitor to Red Clay is the sacred council spring, which produces more than 400,000 gallons of sapphire-blue water each day.

Bradley County, named for Col. Edward Bradley, was founded on May 2, 1836.
