Marshall's arrest Bradley fugitive Print
Wednesday, 03 November 2010

U.S. Marshall’s attempting to locate Christopher Andrew Brewer on Bradley County warrants for statutory rape and other charges tracked him to a mobile home park in Decatur County Tennessee where they were able to make an arrest Tuesday night.

Brewer was identified through an investigation by the Internet Crimes Against Children Unit of the Bradley County Sheriff’s Office that began back in March. At that time detectives received a cyber tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children that someone using a My Space page was preying on young girls.

As the investigation progressed that person was identified as Brewer. He complied with a request to come to the Judicial Center for questioning about the allegations. It was during the interview that Brewer made statements about being involved with three underage girls in Bradley County for sexual purposes.

ICAC detectives presented the evidence they had gathered during the lengthy investigation to a grand jury and Brewer was named in an indictment charging him with three counts of statutory rape. Efforts to locate and arrest Brewer were unsuccessful and it appeared he had left the area. At that point the U.S. Marshall’s Service was asked to use their resources to apprehend and arrest the fugitive.

The trail led to a mobile home park but when agents arrived to make the arrest gunfire was heard nearby. After checking it was determined what they heard was not related to the arrest of Brewer.

The suspect, who is 22 years old, was incarcerated at the Decatur County jail until he can be brought back to Bradley County by the BCSO Transport Unit.

Brewer’s other charges include failing to appear on felony and misdemeanor charges, pawned rental property and misdemeanor probation violation.
