A suspect in the January assault of a woman at the Lay Street Apartments was arrested Tuesday by deputies from the Judicial Services Division of the Bradley County Sheriff’s Office.

Brian Keith Jacoway was taken into custody at a home on northeast Second Street.  He was being sought in the aggravated assault of a female acquaintance and a non support charge from last year.

On January 15 the woman filed a report with the criminal investigations division indicating Jacoway struck her twice in the face with brass knuckles after coming into the apartment where she was visiting.

Jacoway, who is 35 years old, had been on the BCSO Most Wanted list since March.

He is being held at the Bradley County jail and is scheduled to be in General Sessions Court on July 22 for further proceedings on the aggravated assault charge.
