The Bradley County Sheriff’s Office on Wednesday arrested 47-year-old Marcus J. Johnson after the grand jury indicted him in a May 25 2009 crash on Ladd Springs Road.

Johnson is charged with vehicular homicide and bond has been set at $75,000.

An extensive investigation over several months by the BCSO Traffic Unit revealed Johnson crossed over the center of the highway and struck two other vehicles. The crash claimed the life of Lala Denise Guthrie, age 49, the driver of a vehicle that was struck head on.

Johnson remains in custody at the Bradley County jail awaiting arraignment in criminal court.
