     Twelve hours after Timothy Wayne Farmer was found unresponsive and bleeding the Bradley County Sheriff’s Office investigation led to the arrest of three suspects Wednesday night.

     Just after seven o’clock Wednesday morning, a 9-1-1 call sent sheriff’s deputies to a farm on Eureka Road where Farmer was found with severe head injuries from an apparent beating. He was airlifted to Erlanger Medical Center and was admitted with serious trauma to the head.

     During the course of the investigation Robert Preston Shelton Sr., 43, Robert Preston Shelton Jr., 19, and Connie Andelina Nelson, 32, were identified as suspects and later all three were charged with attempted 1st degree murder and conspiracy to commit 1st degree murder. They remain in custody at the Bradley County jail. The three reside at an apartment on Georgetown Road in Cleveland.

     Sheriff Tim Gobble said the investigation is ongoing and more arrests are pending.      

    Additional information will be provided as the investigation progresses.

Friday, Nov. 6   

     Continuing investigation into injuries Timothy Wayne Farmer received in a beating resulted in the arrest of another suspect, Daniel Thomas Dixon, on Thursday.

     Dixon, 30, of Old Harrison Pike is charged with attempted first degree murder and conspiracy to commit first degree murder. He is the fourth person arrested by the Bradley County Sheriff’s Office since Farmer was found in a field on Eureka Road Wednesday morning with severe head injuries.  

     BCSO investigators are attempting to locate other persons of interest and additional arrests are possible.
