Working with the Cleveland Police Department, property crimes detectives at the Bradley County Sheriff’s Office viewed store surveillance video and were able to obtain vehicle and clothing descriptions of the suspect.

As the investigation continued the victim of the theft discovered his credit card was being used at the mall. Detectives gave the suspect information to a Chattanooga Police officer who was on duty at the mall and he was able to locate the suspects based on the information he was given.

The Chattanooga officer took the couple into custody and recovered the credit card.  BCSO detectives have been able to recover the victim’s property and merchandise that was obtained fraudulently has been returned to those stores.

Additional charges are possible in Hamilton County pending further investigation.
