A California fugitive is being held at the Bradley County jail following his arrest Sunday by patrol deputies on James Asbury Drive.        James Anthony Randolph of Lenoir City faces extradition to San Bernardino California for failing to appear in court on charges related to a carjacking. When Randolph was arrested at a restaurant he was in possession of a 1999 Jeep Grand Cherokee that was reported stolen to the Knoxville Police Department on September 9th.

Local charges include Harassment, Retaliation for Past Action, Phone Harassment, Theft under $500 and Theft over $1,000.

Sheriff Tim Gobble expressed appreciation to those in the criminal investigation and patrol divisions that were involved in the apprehension of Randolph.  He said their persistence following up leads after several sightings of the fugitive in our area is to be commended.

Randolph will be held without bond.
