A Birchwood man died at Erlanger Medical Center Monday night from injuries he received in a two-vehicle crash on September 11th at the intersection of Georgetown Drive and Freewill Road.

Haskell E. Pierce, 85, is the 13th victim of a traffic accident in Bradley County this year. Investigation by the Traffic Unit of the Bradley County Sheriff’s Office determined Pierce was the passenger in a vehicle driven by 61-year-old Carolyn Sue Pierce. As she attempted to cross Freewill Road they pulled into the path of Ruby Annette Wilhoite, 45, of Decatur, Tennessee. At the time of the accident Wilhoite was traveling south on Freewill Road.

Investigation into the crash is continuing.
