Fifty-seven-year-old Robert B. Clayton was arrested Tuesday morning by Bradley County Sheriff’s deputies on charges that resulted from last week’s session of the county grand jury. 

     In June, the Bradley County Sheriff’s Office started investigating allegations that Clayton had been sexually involved with a 14 year old girl.  The completed investigation was presented to a Bradley County Grand Jury on Wednesday, September 2nd, resulting in criminal charges of sexual battery by an authority figure and statutory rape by an authority figure. 

     Clayton, who lives on Springplace Road, was released from the Bradley County jail after posting a $50,000 bond.
