Also found during a search of the property was a 22 caliber handgun and a large amount of prescription medication, some in pill bottles with the names of other people on labels.

Howard, 45, is charged with burglary, theft under $500, possession of schedule II drugs for resale, possession of schedule III drugs, possession of schedule IV drugs, possession of schedule VI drugs, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a firearm during commission of a felony.

Also arrested was 43-year-old Donna Sue Wade, who resides there. She is charged with delivery of schedule III drugs and delivery of schedule IV drugs.

The stolen property was returned to the owner.

Sheriff Tim Gobble said the success of the investigation is due to the high level of cooperation that exists inside the sheriff’s office and the dedication of personnel in the patrol and criminal investigations divisions to pursue every lead.

Both suspects were being held at the Bradley County jail pending arraignment in General Sessions Court.
