Bradley County Sheriff’s deputies took a Georgia man into custody after they tracked the fugitive to an apartment on Lay Street. Amos Lee Elrod, 41, was convicted of child molestation in 2001 but he had not complied with Georgia’s sexual offender registry. Amos Lee Elrod Elrod was arrested Wednesday night without incident and is being held at the Bradley County jail. Sheriff Tim Gobble commended personnel from the criminal investigations and patrol divisions for their quick response that led to the arrest of a fugitive who has been on the run from law enforcement. Gobble said deputies combined resources to develop information that led them to the fugitive. Elrod is awaiting extradition to Fannin County Georgia.
