The Bradley County Sheriff’s Office has concluded an investigation into a bomb threat that was received at the Cleveland – Bradley County 9-1-1 Communications Center in April of this year. On Monday, Bradley Scott Evans, 27, of Loudon Tennessee, was charged with filing a false report. The investigation revealed Evans was the passenger in a vehicle that was stopped on APD 40 on April 14, 2008, for a traffic violation. While the deputy searched the vehicle, Evans is accused of using his cell phone to place the 9-1-1 call to report a bomb had been placed at a restaurant on U.S. Highway 64. The call resulted in an emergency response by the Bradley County Sheriff’s Office and other agencies. Also, personnel from the Bradley County Fire and Rescue Unit responded to the call that turned out to be a hoax. Evans is being held at the Bradley County jail in lieu of a $5,000 bond.
