Four Charged in Hunt Road Burglary |

Investigation of a burglary on September 23 at a home on Hunt Road has resulted in the arrest early Friday morning of four suspects.  Chastity Ann Lawson The homeowner, returning from an out-of-town trip, contacted the Bradley County Sheriff’s Office after he found where someone made forced entry into his home and also had burglarized four vehicles that were on his property. He estimated a loss of $10,900.  Christopher Lee Pope The Criminal Investigations Division through intensive investigation was able to identify four possible suspects. During interviews at the CID office each of the suspects gave a written statement about their involvement in several recent crimes. Detectives then were able to obtain a search warrant for a residence on Cliff Drive where two of the suspects live, and there they found some of the property from Hunt Road as well as items from other recent burglaries and thefts in the local area.  Donny Ray Bonine Each of the suspects is charged with aggravated burglary, theft over $10,000 and four counts of burglary of an automobile. They are: Chastity Ann Lawson, 26, of Longview Drive; Christopher Lee Pope, 18, of Rymer Road; Donny Ray Bonine, 31, of Cliff Drive; and Stephen Ray Simons, 23, of Cliff Drive.  Stephen Ray Simons Additional charges could be filed later related to the recovery of property that can be connected to other recent thefts and burglaries. Taking part in the investigation were Det. Sgt. Dewayne Scoggins, Det. Kevin White, Det. Joe Musselwhite, and Det. Zech Pike.
