Owing child support in excess of $46,000, Timothy Wayne Tallent is in custody. Tallent was arrested by Murray County Georgia Sheriff’s officers and was brought to the Bradley County Sheriff’s Office on Friday after signing a waiver of extradition. Tallent has held the top spot on the "Hall of Shame" since it debuted a few weeks ago on bradleysheriff.com. All persons posted on the web site are wanted for either non-support or contempt of court charges. Sheriff Tim Gobble said the purpose of the "Hall of Shame" is not to embarrass anyone who has fallen behind in their child support payments because of a temporary financial setback. It is aimed at parents who owe large sums of court-ordered support to their children. Tallent is the third Dead Beat Parent to be apprehended since the list became a feature on the sheriff’s office web site. If you know where one of the offenders on the Hall of Shame can be found contact the BCSO warrants division at 423-728-7390 or 423-728-7393.
