James Allen Hyde, who has been on the Bradley County Sheriff’s 10 Most Wanted list for the past two months, was taken into custody over the weekend by Deputy Jay Lawson.

While on patrol Sunday Lawson spotted a disabled vehicle at U.S. 64 and APD 40 sitting on the side of the road. He pulled up to see if the driver required assistance but noticed he was nervous and avoided direct eye-to-eye contact.

When asked his name the subject gave the name of an individual Lawson is acquainted with and he recognized him as James Hyde. A photograph of Hyde was brought to the scene and a comparison positively identified him as James Allen Hyde.

Hyde was being sought on warrants for Theft over $1,000, Failure to Appear in court, Aggravated Criminal Trespass, and an attachment for Contempt of Court. Additionally, Deputy Lawson charged him with criminal impersonation.

Hyde, who is 33 years old, is incarcerated at the Bradley County jail.
