Bradley County Sheriff Tim Gobble has offered his assistance to Polk County Sheriff Bill Davis to house Polk County inmates until the new Polk Justice Center is ready for habitation.

Sheriff Tim Gobble explained.

“We agreed to take Polk County's inmates here at the Bradley County Justice Center until Polk County gets their new justice center open," Sheriff Gobble said. "We received 26 prisoners on Wednesday, while 25 low-risk inmates were processed and released. Polk County is our next-door neighbor and I’m glad to be able to help Sheriff Davis out. I know he would do the same for us if the situation were turned around.”

Sheriff Gobble also pointed out that the timing was good because the Bradley County Justice Center was currently a little below capacity.

During this interim time, Sheriff Gobble said all new arrests made in Polk County will also be processed through the Bradley Justice Center. The Polk County will be paying Bradley County $40 per-day per-inmate until the new Polk Justice Center is opened.
