Juveniles charged in car burglaries

Bradley County Sheriff’s officers have charged two juveniles in connection with the theft of articles from two automobiles in Benwood Subdivision. The owners of those vehicles reported a laptop computer, an  iPod, a GPS, and a DVD were stolen out of vehicles on Calloway Lane and MacMillan Road. While Deputy Laura Lane collected evidence from the crime scenes, she discovered some of the stolen property had been found by the mother of one of the suspects.

During questioning, the youths gave statements as to their involvement in four vehicle burglaries –all on the night of July 1st. Two of the incidents were not reported to the sheriff’s office and a detective is currently attempting to ascertain the exact locations of those thefts based on the information the suspects provided. One item of recovered property has not been claimed.
