Oscan Daniel Burnett Kenneth Lynn McColloch Arrests made in Eagle Creek copper thefts Bradley County Sheriff’s detectives following several weeks of investigation into copper thefts from new homes in Eagle Creek subdivision have arrested two people. Oscar Daniel Burnette III, 22, of 3200 Maryland Circle in Cleveland and Kenneth Lynn McColloch, 20, of 4302 Pattentown Road in Ooltewah, are charged in grand jury indictments with five counts of burglary, two counts of theft over $1,000, and three counts of theft under $500.
The thefts occurred on April 19th and April 24th involving copper wire valued at approximately $4,300. Detectives believe the wire was sold to scrap dealers at a fraction of its actual value and none was recovered. Both suspects surrendered at the Bradley County Justice Center on Tuesday and have been released on bond. Sheriff Tim Gobble had offered a reward seeking information about the thefts. The suspects were identified through the investigative resources of the Criminal Investigations Unit so no claims have been made for the reward fund. |
