Just after 9:30 this morning the Bradley County 9-1-1 Communications Center received a call of a missing two year-old girl who had wandered away from her home at the intersection of Lyles Road and Waterlevel Highway. The information the caller provided indicated the child could have been gone from the residence as long as 30 minutes.
Several patrol units from the Bradley County Sheriff's Office responded to begin an initial search of the area. Additional resources were sent to search the entire area. A neighbor reported that he heard what sounded like a young child crying from the area of two barns that are in an area behind his residence. As Sheriff Tim Gobble drove down a dirt road leading to the barns the young girl raised up from some tall grass. She was examined by the Emergency Medical Service and was found to be o.k. She was returned to her residence by Sheriff Gobble.
